⚔️ By using Duelhouse you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable, not to catch you out. If anything is unclear, email duelhouseapp@proton.me.
1. What Duelhouse is
Duelhouse is a household chore-tracking app that turns shared responsibilities into a game. It is operated as a sole proprietorship in Sweden and is currently in a closed early-access beta.
By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- During the closed beta, creating a household requires an access code issued by us.
- We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
3. Your household data
The content you create — rooms, chores, household and member names — belongs to you. By using the service you allow us to store and process it in order to run the app.
When you delete your account your personal data is removed. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Household membership
- The person who creates a household is its initial admin.
- Members can be added by name without an account, and can later claim that place with their own login.
- Everyone in a household can see every member's chores, completions and scores. That visibility is the point of the app.
- Only invite people you are happy to share your household activity with.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Access another person's account without permission
- Use bots or automated tools against the service
- Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the app
- Use the service to harass or harm anyone
6. Beta service
Duelhouse is in early access. Features may change or be removed, the service may have downtime, and data problems are possible. We will try to give notice before significant changes that affect your data, but cannot guarantee it during beta.
Please keep your own record of anything you would be upset to lose.
7. Limitation of liability
Duelhouse is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app.
Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, which during the beta is 0 SEK. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Swedish law.
8. Intellectual property
The Duelhouse name, logo, design and code are our property and may not be copied or redistributed without permission. The content you create remains yours.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product develops. If we make significant changes we will notify active users by email. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes will be heard in the Swedish courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
